Vodacom gives fans a chance to "Be part of the team" at the Vodacom Challenge
If the prospect of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and English giants, Tottenham Hotspur, facing off in the 2011 Vodacom Challenge next month is enough to make one's mouth water, Vodacom's ‘Be Part Of The Team' campaign is likely to have supporters jumping up and down with excitement.
As part of Vodacom's recent rebranding from blue to red, the new era was underpinned by an unprecedented approach, dubbed ‘Power To You', to cultivate the interactive element of the relationship between Vodacom and the public. Football fans will be able to experience this symbiosis firsthand through the ‘Be Part of the Team' campaign for the 2011 Vodacom Challenge.
"Be Part Of The Team' offers the ultimate fan experience, in which some of the Amakhosi and Buccaneers faithful will tour with their chosen club to every Vodacom Challenge match. Chiefs fans will be able to travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane and Port Elizabeth's Nelson Mandela Stadium, and possibly Coca Cola Park in Johannesburg, should they reach the final. Similarly, lucky Pirates fans will accompany the Bucs squad to the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit and Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, and perhaps Coca Cola Park for the final. The lucky winners will get an inside look at how the teams prepare for big matches, living and breathing the tension and anticipation of the build up, as well as feeling the thrill of the adulation of thousands of adoring fans. These fans will be handing out the man of the match prize after every game.
Vodacom is committed to devising new methods of enhancing the experience of the fans, making them feel closer to actually participating in the event, as opposed to merely watching from the sidelines," said Enzo Scarcella, Managing Executive: Marketing at Vodacom. "In creating a closer, more inclusive relationship with our customer base, Vodacom's pledge of ‘Power To You' comes alive through the ‘Be Part Of The Team' campaign, which will give some lucky supporters the dream opportunity to experience the tension and excitement from within."
