Chief Executive Officer
Armed with a wealth of experience, qualified Chartered Accountant Jaco Beukes joined SAIL in 2004. Jaco previously worked as a brand manager for Glasfit and spent 5 years working in England for various multinational financial institutions.
He returned to South Africa in 2004 and joined SAIL as an investment manager. In 2008 he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CIRCA and in 2009 he became COO of both CIRCA and Navitute. In 2013 he was promoted to CEO to the now called SAIL Rights Commercialisation (Pty) Ltd company.
He possesses a unique combination of formal qualifications in both finance and HR, giving him a keen insight into the balance of both. He has served on the boards of eight major sports brands and has invaluable experience in understanding client expectations.

Elmarié started her career in events quite by accident after completing her practical studies for her Public Relations course at the University of Port Elizabeth Sports Bureau. There she honed her skills in organising mainly sporting events but occasionally some banquets, conferences and cocktail parties were managed as well.
In 1991 she moved to Johannesburg to work in the newly formed Joburg Sports division whose core function is was to promoting Johannesburg as the Sports Capital of Africa and to attract sporting events to the city. During her tenure highlights were the Cricket and Rugby Parades organised through the city as well as the World Cup Athletics in 1998 and the 7th All Africa Games in 1999.In 2003 she joined the well-respected SAIL Events team immersing her in the corporate eventing world where she is currently managing a team of 12 eventing specialists servicing major corporate clients such as Vodacom and project managing a range of events from small conferences to large public events.
Head of Golf
Thomas is a passionate sportsman that represented his country and province in various sporting codes. With sport in his veins it was a natural progression to find a career within the sporting arena. He started playing golf and joined the PGA of South Africa in 1999. With his BCOM Sports Management degree from RAU (now the University of Johannesburg), he quickly found a niche’ in the golfing market which allowed him to manage various golf events and tournaments at Sun City at both the Lost City and Gary Player Golf courses with Sun International. From Sun City he was seconded to Johannesburg to work at the Sun International Head Office to promote and run the Sun International stable of amateur and professional golfing events at their resorts. In 2004 he was asked to join SAIL to assist in running the Vodacom stable of professional golf tournaments and the other major golf tournaments within the SAIL fold. In addition, in order to grow his commercialisation scope, Thomas managed the Vodacom sponsorship of the Western Province Rugby for 4 years.Currently, Thomas is the HOD of Golf at SAIL and has built up relationships with the Sunshine and European Tours which enables him and his team to be in the forefront of all professional golf tournaments on a local and international scale. Thomas’ team currently manages 7 of the 13 winter tournaments and 7 of the 12 summer tournaments on the Sunshine Tour, far more than any other individual promoter in the country.
Head of Hospitality
Tom started his career in the hotel industry 10 years ago, and graduated from the International Hotel School. He has been privileged enough to have worked in some of South Africa’s top 4 & 5 star Hotels and Resorts such as at Sun City Resort, The Cape Milner Hotel, Le Franschhoek Hotel and Alpine Heath Resort. Tom left his promising career in Hotels and joined the 2010 FIFA Local Organising Committee, where he was tasked with hospitality responsibilities at all ten FIFA World Cup Stadiums, here he gained invaluable experience from the best in the world.
After the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Tom joined By Word Of Mouth Caterers and gained knowledge in a company that has won caterer of the year for 10 years successively. He joined SAIL in 2012 and leads a team of handpicked highly effective individuals.Tom is a driven hospitality professional who believes in his product and team, and believes that, “The best hospitality professionals come from Hotels, there is no experience like it, I love what I do and love applying my skills in the Sports Industry. South Africa has a multitude of dynamic entertainment offerings and every event is different, which makes for a very exciting work environment”.
