CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The Investec SA Open, one of the world’s oldest national golf championships (est. 1903), continues to be a cornerstone of South African sport. The 2025 edition focused on elevating its global prestige while enhancing both player and spectator experience, and delivering meaningful economic and brand impact for the host city and stakeholders.

SAIL Golf managed the tournament end-to-end, overseeing planning, operations, sponsorship delivery, stakeholder engagement, and full event execution.

SAIL Golf delivered the full project lifecycle, from concept through to post-event reporting, across:

Venue & Supplier Management: Coordination of all venues, sponsors, and suppliers, including Durban Country Club
Stakeholder Coordination: Alignment across key partners including the Sunshine Tour, DP World Tour, GolfRSA, sponsors, and municipal stakeholders

JOBURG OPEN 2025

The Joburg Open, a flagship event for the City of Johannesburg, boasts a 17-year legacy and plays a key role in positioning the city as a global sports tourism destination. Co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour since 2017, it also marks the start of The Open Championship Qualifying Series. The 2025 edition aimed to deliver world-class golf, drive tourism, and maximise sponsor exposure.

SAIL Golf managed the tournament end-to-end, overseeing planning, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship delivery, procurement, and full operational execution:

Venue & Supplier Management: Full operational planning at Houghton Golf Club, including procurement and management of all service providers
Stakeholder Engagement: Coordination with the City of Johannesburg, Sunshine Tour, DP World Tour, and sponsors
Event Operations: Delivery of a four-day tournament and Pro-Am, including VIP hospitality, player facilities, and sponsor activations

The Alfred Dunhill Championship, founded in 2000, is a premier men’s professional golf tournament co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour. Hosted at Leopard Creek Country Club on the edge of the Kruger National Park, the event is renowned for its world-class golf and unique natural setting.

SAIL Golf led the full project lifecycle, managing planning, operations, stakeholder engagement, sponsorship delivery, and post-event reporting.
